Dual Credit Courses

Courses offered for dual credit stem from agreements between high schools, universities, and colleges whereby a high school student enrolls in a college-level course and simultaneously earns college credit and high school credit for that course. All of the courses taught by Embedded Instructors are dual credit classes. In addition, several teachers at our affiliated high schools offer dual credit classes.

Course Prerequisites

Nearly all dual credit courses include specific prerequisites in order to be eligible for college credit. The course prerequisites include qualifying PSAT/SAT/ACT scores or qualifying Knowledge Assessment scores, prior completion of a specified course, or qualifying high school GPA. The minimum qualifying scores vary based on the dual credit course.
